Agree with you. It is getting a balance of the high performance environment - the HPE - (anything you can buy or build) to the best possible standard of excellence but ensuring it is driven by motivated, committed, talented, creative, passionate people.

Too many times I see people spending money on the HPE believing that money alone = medals or titles, but the investment in gyms, facilities, equipment, sports science tools etc has to be supported by the investment in people and their potential.

		<description>You can have both, but building the human factor is usually a process and a tricky one at that. Ideally we would like to have people who are driven from within, but most likely, we have to apply both the carrot and the stick to move things along in the right direction.
