Recovery - Who needs it?
You do!
Lots of people are talking about recovery and for good reason.
Triathlon is a sport for people who love to challenge themselves to see just how far they can go to find out how hard they can push themselves physically and mentally.
But the nature of the sport and the people who love doing it means that triathletes live on the edge. The edge between training hard and training too hard, often with disastrous consequences. There is nothing worse than seeing a triathlete suffering from an illness or injury that could have been avoided.

Fatigue Factors and Measuring Your Fatigue Level
How fatigued is fatigued? How do you know how much training to do? How do you know when your body and mind are tired and need time to rest and recover?
Feeling fatigued after training is normal, but excessive and constant fatigue is not.
When the body is constantly fatigued it is more susceptible to illness and injury. In a fatigued state, the body’s defence mechanism, the immune system is likely to break down leaving the triathlete vulnerable to coughs, colds, bacterial infections, gastro intestinal (belly busters) infections and so on.
